After nine plagues that have affected the Egyptians exclusively, God gives a final plague: the death of the firstborn.  But this time He gives specific instructions to His people in order that their house would be passed over by the wrath of the Lord.  In this week’s reading, notice the details of God’s instructions to the people of Israel and the meaning behind the actions.
