MAKING DISCIPLES

THROUGH INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”  – Matthew 28:18–20

We exist to make disciples for God’s glory

We are making Jesus’ final words our primary work. Matthew 28:18-20 is our first priority.

Why? Because we desire to see our community transformed by God’s grace and to become passionate for God’s Glory.

Our Discipleship Pathway

The Discipleship Pathway is Grace Life’s way of equipping you on your discipleship journey.

WHAT IS A DISCIPLE?

A Jesus-centered disciple is empowered by the Holy Spirit to become more like Christ and is obedient to Christ’s command to go and make disciples.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO
MAKE DISCIPLES?

To make disciples is to teach others how to follow Jesus.

WHAT IS DISCIPLESHIP?

Discipleship is growing in Christ through engaging God’s Word in accountable relationships.

Who you surround yourself with matters in your discipleship journey. Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “The physical presence of other Christians is a source of incomparable joy and strength to the believer. It is grace, nothing but grace, that we are allowed to live in community with Christian brethren”.

Connecting with other followers of Jesus will be an encouragement to you and allow you to be an encouragement to them.

A follower of Jesus moves from infancy to maturity as they grow in the Gospel. The Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to transform the hearts of the people of God. “The Word of God is more than enough to accomplish the work of God in the people of God”. – Kevin DeYoung

Growing in God’s Word in accountable relationship will help study God’s Word on your own and help others learn to study God’s Word as well.

Every follower of Jesus is called to make disciples. We are to be an influence with the Gospel that has been entrusted to us. The mission that Christ has given us is not based on who we are or what we can do, but it is based on who Jesus is and what He is able to do in and through our lives.

Influencing others means sharing the Gospel of Jesus with them and teaching them how to follow Jesus.
