In Nehemiah 8, the people of Israel gathered together to read the Law. They read it with joy, for worship, and for understanding. They were a people of the Word. The church today is called to be the same.
We believe God’s Word is powerful, true, and necessary for the follower of Jesus. God’s Word teaches us about who God is and about His plan to restore mankind through Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says that “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
Joshua 1:8 shows us that Biblical success is directly connected to the Scriptures: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
We believe that the follower of Jesus should engage and explore God’s Word daily and we want to do everything we can to help you.
Below you will find helpful resources to help you both Engage and Explore God’s Word.
Engage the Word is a starting point. If you are a new Christian or if you’ve been out of the Bible for a while, this reading plan is for you. These plans are designed to help you get going.
Explore the Word is a continuation of what you started when you began to Engage the Word. It’s reading the entire Bible in a year or taking a deeper look at one or two books in a year, or memorizing large passages of Scripture. These plans are designed to help you go deeper in your Bible reading.
